Sanctuary Reimagined

Sanctuary Reimagined, intricately maps my transformative journey of spiritual rebirth and bicultural renewal through mixed-media installation. By employing a methodology of repetition, layering, and calligraphy, memories and tales drawn from my Chinese-Filipino diasporic spiritual beliefs and cultural inheritances are recollected, reclaimed, and reframed with concepts of eternalism and animism, ultimately reconstructing personal and cultural narratives towards a reimagined future of enriched identity. This project envisions creating a sanctuary that fuses the tangible with the spiritual, embodying the process of rebirth and renewal while inviting contemplation of life’s wonder and appreciation of its infinite nature.
